"I want to thank you for performing the wedding ceremony for my daughter Amy
Balsam and Javier Estrada this past Saturday. What a lovely ceremony!! You
truly made it personal and explained the ceremony beautifully. My guests
were all impressed as was I, Amy's father and Javier's mother. Thanks
again."
Rona Balsam
"Ron, the ceremony was so lovely. It was really something of a gamble on my
part, considering we had met only once before the Bar Mitzvah. You were
wonderful. Exactly what I had hoped for. So many people complimented it and
were moved by it. Thank you."
Randy Karr.
"Thank you so much for conducting the wedding ceremony for Joanie and Alex.
It was significant, personal, totally suited to the two of them and involved
all the generations present and past. We were supremely happy with your
cantorial skills and delivery."

Ronald Broden is a graduate of Vassar College with a degree in Psychology
and Music Theory. Very conversant in Spanish and Italian and with vast
knowledge of Hebrew and Ladino, he is a cantor of great versatility who is
equally at home in a wide range of musical styles. He has performed many
leading roles with regional opera companies and in musical theater, has
concertized throughout the United States and in Israel, and has appeared in
Off-Broadway productions, as well as performing cabaret at leading New York

particularly fluent in the wide scope of Jewish music, from the sacred
traditions to the folksong repertory. His guitar playing and his deep tenor
voice enable him to soar through the majestic compositions of the Reform
movement's musical treasure trove, to the most contemporary spirited
renditions of Shabbat evening and morning prayers.
Considered a Ladino music specialist, Cantor Broden has served as a Musical
Director, arranged temple choral festivals, and has organized and directed
professional, volunteer adult and children's choirs. He has lectured on
Jewish music and liturgy, directed Religious School music and B'nai Mitzvah
programs, served as an Adult Education and Hebrew High School Instructor.
